The US Senate Thursday overwhelmingly passed the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015, 75-20. The bill includes “Trade Preferences of Nepal” which authorizes preferential treatment for certain imports from Nepal. According to a statement released by the White House yesterday, President Obama intends to sign the bill into law.
Thank you to all who supported Nepal and congratulations to our garment industries for this monumental step towards the passage of this historic bill.
