National Geographic traveler has released its cool list for the year 2016. A total of 16 countries are included in the list among which Nepal stands in the 6th position.
Top of the recommendations is Iran, with new tours available and a reopened UK embassy in Tehran expected to bring brighter prospects for the country’s tourism industry. Tourist numbers to Nepal plummeted by 85 per cent after the devastating earthquakes, but the country is once more open for business and safe to visit.
If you are planning about your holiday next year, you might want reconsider your choice. You might get inspired from this new cool list released by National Geographic. Pat Riddell, editor, said, ‘We’ve scoured the planet for this year’s must-see destinations and come up with an eclectic list of top spots for culture, cuisine, festive celebrations, pristine coastline… and places to go. ‘Some are obvious, some not so, but we think they should be top of anyone’s travels plans in 2016 — and beyond.’
